Oil on woodblock, 180mm x 180mm
Often our compulsion to do, to act, to move, to serve, to work leaves little time for reflection on WHY we do the things we do. This small painting is about the pain of forfeiting God's nearness. It is about the terrifying and exhilarating journey or walk towards abandonment of the need for self-preservation - a letting go of the need for self actualisation. A profoundly important albeit potentially tricky task but for the infinitely alluring love of God.
