A Touch of the Cape

Proteas are one of my favourite flowers. They symbolise strength and resilience. Its strength lies in the fact that it can survive harsh conditions—including drought, strong winds and even fire. Some proteas need the heat of fire before their seeds can open and new growth can begin.
